Lekha Ink

Lekha Ink runs a writing school and a children’s book publisher. Lekha needed a new site to represent their publishing unit, expanding the online store.

I turned a collection of product pages with buy buttons on the previous site to a full-fledged ecommerce store. This meant adding grid display of products, categories for filtering goods, shopping cart functionality, and user accounts. During this stage of the project, the design of the publishing company and writing school sites matched for brand continuity.

As the new sites were adopted and the publishing company continued to develop, Lekha Ink needed its own look and feel while maintaining a connection to the overall Lekha branding. The new design for the publishing site is clean, open, and brings the books to center stage.
